Biography
Mr. Alaee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. As an undergraduate, his research focused on cell culture and obtaining cell survival curves.
Mr. Alaee worked as the Health Physics Technician in the Office of Radiological Safety where he was responsible for performing various routine and non-routine surveys, handling and preparing radioactive waste for disposal, calibrating radiation detection instruments, and teaching radiation safety procedures to less experienced students. Mr. Alaee was appointed as the manager of the Cell Culture laboratory in the spring of 2017 where he was in charge of developing standardized procedures, training lab members, performing multi-week experiments, and training students to passage and irradiate cells.
