After serving in the Marine Corps. Infantry, Mr. Wooten earned his bachelor’s degree in physics at Clemson University. Mr. Wooten worked as a research assistant during his undergraduate studies focusing on slow neutron induced single event upsets in microprocessors. He spent his last year earning an emphasis in biophysics to better prepare for his graduate studies in medical physics.
Mr. Wooten then earned his Master of Science in Medical Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology. He performed his clinical rotation at Emory University during his graduate studies. Following graduation, he worked at Emory University’s Quantitative BioImaging Laboratory as a research specialist investigating the accuracy of a 3D ultrasound guided prostate biopsy system.
Mr. Wooten is originally from Charleston, South Carolina.
