Biography
Mr. Jia joined West Physics after earning his Master of Science Degree in Health Physics at Oregon State University. His graduate work included calibrating and operating HPGe detectors as well as using Monte Carlo methods to simulate and calculate absorbed fractions in mathematical models for multiple energies and various incident radiation types. In his last year of graduate school, Mr. Jia participated in a research group conducting risk assessment of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, and his work involved evaluating the Hanford Site’s environmental remediation efforts in the context of both federal and state regulatory requirements.
Mr. Jia is originally from Zhejiang, China.
