Mr. Scott earned his bachelors in physics at the University of South Carolina, where he developed a keen interest in particle interactions. As a member of the High Energy Physics Research Group, he investigated the character of high energy neutrino interactions with atomic nuclei.
Mr. Scott then earned his Masters in medical physics from Duke University. While at Duke, Mr. Scott worked at the Duke Radiation Dosimetry Laboratory investigating the occupational exposure to PET technologists and developing novel approaches to facility shielding design.
Mr. Scott entered active duty military service upon completion of his graduate studies. As an officer in the United States Air Force’s Biomedical Science Corps, he provided diagnostic imaging physics and radiation protection services to military medical facilities across the country. Mr. Scott is now delighted to put his skills to use as a member of the West Physics team.
Mr. Scott is originally from Savannah, Georgia.
