Winston-Salem Field Office & Senior Medical Physicist John Muryn, M.S., DABR, will present at the 2023 GSNMT Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA, on March 24, 2023. The presentation will be titled “How to Navigate the 2023 ACR PET Accreditation Updates and Accreditation Tips“.
The ACR has recently released a new accreditation website, and Mr. Muryn will be discussing many of the features of the new website. He will walk attendees through successfully completing all the necessary data forms and selecting correct and proper images for the application.
The presentation will end with a review of many common pitfalls to avoid during the ACR accreditation process.

Dr. Geoff West will be presenting at the 2016 Annual AHRA conference in Nashville, TN on the topic of Joint Commission standards in Radiology. The title of the live presentation is “One Year after the JC Imaging Standards Changes – What Have We Learned and What’s Coming Next?” Dr. West will be presenting on Monday, August 1st between 4:00 – 5:00 PM and Wednesday, August 3rd between 8:30 – 9:30 AM.
Dr. West will discuss and share how the first year of the new JC 2015 Imaging Standards have impacted accredited healthcare organizations, including feedback on actual Joint Commission surveys. Dr. West will describe the positive impact the standards have had on patient care and radiation dose reduction, as well as any challenges in implementation experienced to date by the Joint Commission and the accredited facilities. In addition, the attendees will learn what new proposed standards changes the JC has planned for the future for imaging facilities, and what impact those changes could have on patient care and the imaging business.
