West Physics is pleased to announce the immediate opening of its first permanent field office location in Los Angeles, California. This office joins our established Seattle office to further enhance our presence and responsiveness to customers on the West coast. Both technical as well as business development resources will be based at this new location, and we are very excited for the service advantages that this will provide to our growing base of California customers as well as those in surrounding states. With the opening of the Los Angeles Field Office, West Physics now serves customers throughout the United States from 10 office locations (Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, Orlando, Kansas City, Albuquerque, and our headquarters in Atlanta). We are thrilled that we have just this week signed an agreement with GE Healthcare to be their exclusive partner in providing NEMA acceptance testing services for their customers’ Nuclear Medicine (NM) / Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanners. This agreement expands the already successful relationship that we have with GE in providing ACR accreditation support services to their customers in a turn-key and convenient fashion. We appreciate and enjoy working with an outstanding technical, sales and marketing team at GE Healthcare and could not be more pleased that GE continues to rely on West Physics for providing their customers with best-in-class medical physics services.
We are pleased to announce our acquisition of Medical Physics Services, Inc. (MPS) of Daphne, Alabama. MPS has provided diagnostic medical physics testing and consulting services in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi since 1990.
The acquisition expands our client base in the Southeastern United States while at the same time permitting the founder and owner of MPS, Dr. Michael D. Williams, to retire after many decades of providing quality medical physics services to his surrounding community. As part of the acquisition, we will continue providing all of the existing services that MPS has provided to their customer base, which includes mammography, radiography and fluoroscopy testing, as well as nuclear medicine regulatory auditing; additionally, we will make available numerous other physics services that MPS did not offer, such as MRI, CT and NM/PET accreditation support, dose reduction consulting, and MRI safety auditing.
