Biography

Mr. Nartturk completed his Master’s of Science degree at Ankara University – Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Health Physics. During his graduate studies, he completed two research projects titled, “Development of a tissue equivalent phantom used for quality control tests of mammography systems and its characterization by using x-ray spectroscopy and method development for HPGe and CdZnTe detector-based gamma spectroscopic determination of u-235 isotopic abundance in nuclear material characterization.” Through his research, Mr. Nartturk developed a low-cost image quality phantom for conventional mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis and decreased production cost by 75%. Mr. Nartturk has a diverse background that includes diagnostic imaging, radiation detection and measurement, gamma and x-ray spectroscopy, shielding design etc.
Prior to joining West Physics, worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Ankara University, Turkey.

Mr. Nartturk is originally from Ankara, Turkey.
