Buy Generic Seroquel (Quetiapine) 50mg/100mg/200mg/300mg Pill Online

Seroquel (Quetiapine) is a type of prescription antipsychotic drug. It is utilized in the amelioration of the symptoms of schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and other mental or psychiatric conditions. Seroquel comes in various dosage strengths and forms ranging from 25 mg immediate-release tablets to 400 mg extended-release tablets.

Uses of Seroquel

Seroquel is used for the treatment of the following:

    • Schizophrenia in individuals who are at least 13 years of age.
    • Manic depression (bipolar disorder) in individuals who are at least 10 years of age.
    • Major depressive disorders in adults (as a combination with other antidepressants).

Action in the Body

There are two chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) in the brain: dopamine and serotonin. They help to regulate our actions, thoughts, and moods. However, an excess of dopamine can lead to hallucinations or delusional thoughts.

While serotonin helps you relax or sleep, it can lead to anxiety and depression when produced in excess. Seroquel helps to maintain a balance between the levels of dopamine and serotonin in the brain to ensure balance in thoughts, moods, and behaviors.

Consumption and Dosage

Seroquel comes as an oral tablet.

Note: The medication should be taken by mouth with enough water. It can be taken with or without food.

The drug is usually taken two times daily. However, if you experience some stomach discomfort when you take it without food, then you can take your subsequent doses with food.

If you miss your dose, inform your doctor for further advice. Do not consume a double dose to make up for missed doses. Also, if you ingested an overdose, contact the poison control center in your area.

Warning: You are not meant to take more than the prescribed dose or stop taking it unless your doctor instructs you to stop.

Your dose is dependent on your condition after your doctor must have assessed you. Sometimes dosage modifications may be necessary for the elderly and patients with kidney or liver diseases.

Seroquel Dosages are normally categorized into initial, titration, and maximum doses.

In adults, the initial dose is 25 mg two times daily, and the titration dose involves 25 - 50 mg increase 2-3 times daily for the 2nd and 3rd day.

A further adjustment from day 4 will involve an increase of 25 to 50 mg in not more than a 2-day interval. However, the recommended dose is 150 to 750 mg per day, while the maximum dose is 750mg.

In Adolescents (13 to 17 years of age), the initial dose is 25 mg two times daily, and the titration from day 2 involves increments of not more than 100mg on day 2, 200mg on day 3, 300mg on day 4 and 400mg on day 5.

The increments should not exceed 100 mg per day and must fall within the maximum recommended dose of 400 to 800 mg per day

Manic Depression (Bipolar)

In adults, the initial dose on the first day is 50 mg twice daily. But from day 2, the dose is increased to 200 mg daily (to be taken twice). Further increments involve an additional 100 mg daily while not exceeding the maximum dose of 800 mg per day.

When using Seroquel as monotherapy in adolescents (10-17 years of age), the initial dose is 25 mg two times daily for the first day. From day 2 to day 5, there should be a daily increment of 100 mg progressively each day. These increments are based on observed responses and tolerability in the patients. However, the maximum dose is 800mg/day.

Depression in Adults

When used as an antidepressant, the initial dose is 50 mg on the first day at bedtime. The titration doses from days 2 - 4  are 100 mg, 200 mg, and 300 mg respectively. The maximum daily dose is 300 mg per day.
